On Monday, May 19th, 2025 at 8:00 PM, the ASC New Stars took the field at Houston Sports Park for a special friendly match against Lloyd’s of London FC—a storied UK-based team currently touring the United States in support of their charity initiatives.
The opportunity came through Martin Hayes, a longtime friend of Coach Tom and former manager of Houston United, who helped coordinate the match as part of Lloyd’s ongoing tour blending football and philanthropy. The event was more than just a game—it was a valuable preparation match for ASC New Stars as they gear up for the upcoming regionals.
While the result may not be what defined the evening, the intensity, skill, and sportsmanship on display highlighted the growth and ambition of ASC New Stars, as well as the goodwill and global spirit brought by the visiting side.
